The idea of Tombwomen first came many years ago as I sought God’s direction for a prayer ministry I lead with two other women. During a personal study of women in the Bible, I realized God made a powerful statement when He chose a woman to first see the empty tomb and the risen Savior. I began to explore what this means for the modern Christian woman and how a manuscript often said to oppress women actually liberates us.
Although inspired from the Resurrection, our story in Scripture really begins in another garden where the same gardener asked a very different question, “what have you done?” This is a story meant for women. A story of redemption hidden within the pages of scripture.
